The Dispatches
With our dual interests in the military, the median of a dispatch seemed a good way to masquerade our blog. Semi-regularly, along-side our short-format content on Instagram and Facebook, we alternately released long-form travelogues of our journey. The dispatch soon became cathartic and a way to reflect our relevant experiences and describe some of the characters we had met along the way.

Photos
Unsurprisingly, given the scenic and foreign nature of our journey we collated an enormous number of photos and videos. While we attempted to share many on Facebook and Instagram, we have been wanting to find the right way to showcase them all justly. To record our content we used two iPhones, a DJI Mini 2 drone, and a Canon M50 camera.
Photography equipment
- 2x Trustly iPhones 11s
- DJI Mini 2
- Canon M50
For those familiar with us, our passion for quality kit and equipment is evident. The process of acquiring the necessary gear for our travels began well before our departure, as we meticulously deliberated on what items to bring and the rationale behind each selection. Every aspect of our gear choices, from essentials to specialised equipment, is thoroughly detailed and explained, reflecting our dedication to preparedness and quality in our adventures.

Johannes – “250km”
Rory -“Ah! Well that really is not ideal”
